I lied. The NLL and the union DO have some professionalism. They agreed on a CBA. The 2008 NLL season is back on.
However, the Boston Blazers will not play the 2008 season. They probably want to get all their shit in order. But regardless, the NLL season is back. YES~!

RED SOX WIN THE WORLD SERIES!!!
THE BOSTON RED SOX ARE YOUR 2007 WORLD~! SERIES~! CHAMPIONS~!
Too bad they kinda had to buy the pennant, with their insanely high payroll. The Colorado Rockies franchise were a dream team, making the absolutely best of what they had.
Mike Lowell was the World Series MVP. Sweet. That's something I totally never expected.
Wow. Red Sox won the fucking World Series. Congratulations Colorado for making it this far. Every team in MLB wants to just GET to the World Series, never mind win it. The Red Sox just took it one step further.
You have to wonder how much the eight days of rest from the NLCS to the WS took a toll on the Rockies. Practicing in the snow cannot have helped, either.
But I digress. RED SOX WIN IT ALL!! GO SOX!!

Although, I must say this. Hats off to the Cleveland Indians. You guys had the Sox down 3-1. You put up one hell of a fight and were NOT going to give up this series without a fight. I look forward to many post seasons of play against the Tribe. Good luck, and good job Cleveland! There's always next year (as Red Sox fans are so accustomed to saying)! :P

NLL season cancelled
Since I mentioned lacrosse in the first post, I might as well bring this up.
The National Lacrosse League (indoor league) 2008 season was cancelled. The labor union and the league couldn't agree on a new CBA (collective bargaining agreement; salaries, basically) so the season is done before it started.
That fucking pissed me off.
The league and the union couldn't muster up more professionalism than six-year-olds in a sandbox and agree on a deal. For a league as small and obscure as the NLL, you wouldn't think that agreeing on a new CBA couldn't have been that difficult. The players don't make that much money, either. I cannot see, for the life of me, why this was so challenging.
Seems that we'll have to wait until the summer for the MLL (Major League Lacrosse, an outdoor league) season to begin for professional lacrosse.
That sucks.
